If you follow me over on tumblr and twitter, you no doubt know about my super awesome concert extravaganza. I saw four, yes four, concerts in less than two weeks. Band of Horses (tickets I won through Rogers Wireless), James Vincent McMorrow- which I have already posted about, and City and Colour one night and Bon Iver the next. I can't decide which show was the best and which was the opposite.. well okay, if I had to choose Band of Horses was my least favourite and I was pretty blown away by Bon Iver. And when I say blown away by Bon Iver, I mean it, Justin Vernon and the crew blew my mind into a billion pieces. My only regret was being up in the balcony, I cannot imagine the goosebumps the people below me felt. I have seen Dallas a numerous times, and to be honest festival settings are not my venue of choice. I was also a little disappointed in the set list- I know it wasn't part of the Canadian tour or anything like that but I swear to all that is holy if I have to sit through Sam Malone again... I digress. Being on the island was a nice change, even though I was only there for the day, I went to an awesome record store with my uncle and my brother and could have easily walked out with a dozen or more pieces of vinyl, but left with only three.
Next up concert wise, in November I'm seeing Lights in both Seattle and Vancouver (for my brother) and I'm really excited to see the Civil Wars as well. Then in January I'll be seeing City and Colour- back to back - from the third and first row. Pretty exciting stuff.

The fact that you saw Bon Iver AND City and Colour makes me so unbelievably jealous, and yet I feel so happy that you were able to experience them both. I have a plethora of emotions happening here.
Haha- well thank you! I couldn't believe it either! Was definitely one of my most favourite weekends of life.
