But I do so I'm going to write about it- Hilary Duff, a past Girl Crush is engaged to her hockey player boyfriend, Edmonton Oiler forward Mike Comrie. Coincidentally her former boyfriend Joel Madden recently got engaged to his girlfriend Nicole Richie (not that I give a shit about them). I'm so excited for Hilary, if I was famous she'd be my best friend (step aside Leah Miller). She's currently in Maui with Mike and paparazzi are stationed outside their hotel balcony, creepy eh? They even captured the private moment (to my excitement). Can you imagine though? Just Jared has posted a few of the pictures- the one below being my favourite.
You can tell her mouth is almost at her feet, want to know why? Apparently the ring is worth $300,000 and weighs in at around 4.3 carats. Yep- my jaw would drop if my favourite hockey player was down on one knee with that in a little box too.

Edit: apparently Hilary's gorgeous rock is actually worth $1 million instead of $300,000 and it's 14 carats, not the 4.3 that I had read before. Mike's family owns The Brick (a home furnishing company in Canada) which would be why he was able to afford such a ginormous rock. Hang on to that one Hil!
