This fair haired beauty got her start when she was just 7 years old staring in I Am Sam, next to Sean Penn and Michelle Pfeiffer. She's gone on to star with such Hollywood heavyweights as Denzel Washington and Christopher Walken in Man on Fire, Mike Myers and Alec Baldwin in The Cat in the Hat, Robert De Niro in Hide and Seek, Tom Cruise in War of the Worlds- and the list goes on. And think, she's only just 16. This weeks Girl Crush is the very talented and very adorable Dakota Fanning. Born February 23rd Conyers, Georgia, Hannah Dakota Fanning always knew she'd make it to Hollywood, acting was her passion. She'd put on shows around her parents house which lead her parents to take a trip to LA where she ended up booking a Tide commercial. After moving to Los Angeles permanently Dakota got her big break in the Oscar winning I Am Sam- the world took notice of this doe eyed beauty. Now turning 16 this year she's one of Hollywoods darlings. She doesn't try to act older than she is, she tries to keep grounded- she's a cheerleader for her high school and won homecoming last year. Dakota has been keeping herself pretty busy the past few years. She won the role as Jane (part of the Volturi) in the Twilight Saga: New Moon- she'll reprise that roll in this summers sure to be blockbuster hit Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Her latest movie The Runaways co-starring Kristen Stewart (who of course also stars in the Twilight Saga movies) just debuted last week at the Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews. Look for The Runaways to hit theatres in March.
