Seeing as I own several of this leading lady's movies and yet I seem to always forget to mention her, I have finally decided to crown her as my Girl Crush of the Week. She's a phenomenal actress, all the hottest designers are dying to dress her and despite the fact that I sometimes think she looks like a duck- she's one of the prettiest lady's gracing the big screen today. Anne Hathaway will remain on many people's A-lists for many, many years to come. The first role I ever saw her in was back in 2001 when she played Mia Thermopolis, the geeky high school girl who unknowingly was a Princess. To this day it's still one of my favourite movies and I'm still hoping for a kiss that makes my foot "pop". In 2004 she once again donned her crown in the Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, also that year she stared in Ella Enchanted (again one of my favourite movies) playing a girl very similar to Mia from the Princess Diaries. Thankfully she's stopped taking roles that involve crowns and magic. Her role in Brokeback Mountain was rather shocking for her fans who knew her as the sweet bubbly Princess. Shocking because in one scene she's topless- hello boobies. The Devil Wears Prada in 2006 almost felt like it was written for her, she played Andy, an up incoming writer who gets a job at a fashion magazine as a second assistant to the Editor in Chief. No matter what movie she's in she has this charisma about her that just captures you. Her personal life has had it's ups and downs- she was in a relationship with Raffaelo Follieri, an Italian property developer who was arrested and charged with fraud... he's now in jail (I believe) and she ended up having a fantastic year. Good for her by the way, he was ugly anyways. She's the face of Lancome and she sung alongside Huge Jackman at the Oscars a few months ago. Girl has got a set of pipes on her! A lot of girls look up to her, which I think is great because she's a great role model for everyone. She doesn't go out partying and she's not seen stumbling out of rehab. Now if I could just not look at her and see a duck, she'd be perfect.

If you have not seen that movie, you haven't seen Anne yet. Her best role yet, In my opinion!
